Charging port is the standard for Canadian-market models and can vary by model year, so confirm yours. Tesla's Universal Wall Connector has an integrated J1772 adapter, so it charges both NACS and J1772 / CCS1 vehicles. All Volkswagen ID models use J1772 for Level 2 home charging and CCS2 for DC fast charging. A 48A hardwired unit provides the fastest overnight charge.
VW ID models accept up to 11.5 kW AC (48A). A 100A panel is sufficient with EVEMS load management. Most GTA homes handle this without a panel upgrade. Learn about ESA permits.
